Action Motorsports is the fulfillment of a long-time dream to be able to share our passion for motorcycles with like-minded riders, builders and tinkerers.  We have a showroom at 8503 N. University in Peoria that we stock with the full line of Cleveland Cyclewerks standard motorcycles as well as vintage motorcycles and parts.  Whether you are looking to buy, sell or trade we like all things unique and invite you to come in and share a cup of coffee and talk motorcycles.

Our Team:

Matt Thurman – Owner and General Manager

Not counting a centrifugal clutch mini-bike, the first motorcycle I rode was an XR75.  I was too young to really understand how to use the brakes and took a nice flight over the bars going into my first turn!  Living in town my first bike was a 1990 Kawasaki Ninja 600 – a terrible first bike but I’m still here to tell the story so no regrets.  Currently I’m working on collecting/restoring one nice vintage Honda from each engine size – 350, 550, 750 and 900, and of course I ride my Cleveland Cyclewerks Ace almost every day!

Patrick Peronnet – Owner and Commercial Manager

I grew up in a small town in France.  For us a big motorcycle was a 350cc, and most of the bikes were 2 stroke 125cc or smaller.  Cars and the driver’s licenses were expensive in France and so everybody rode a small motorcycle.  My friends and I would do time trials in-between the villages and any modifications to get an advantage were done in a small garage owned by my grandfather.  I moved to Peoria in 2004 and really enjoy being a part of this community.  I invite you to stop in to our showroom and share your motorcycle stories.

William Peronnet – Lead Mechanic

I moved from France to Peoria early in 2015 to support Action Motorsports with all things that need a wrench.  I worked for a number of years maintaining CNC machines across a number of suppliers in the automotive industry.  After that I opened my own garage to build custom off-road vehicles and service anything with a motor.  I also rode competitively in trials while in France.

John Underwood – Jack of All Trades

I’ve been a part of the motorcycle community in and around Peoria for over 40 years.  I retired from Caterpillar a number of years ago and now spend my time helping out the team at Action Motorsports among projects around the house/shop and out in the community.  My main goal in doing any project or servicing any bike is attention to detail and to take the time to do things right.
